Run For Kash 2026
Keith Kaschak was my older brother. If you were lucky enough to know Keith, you know he was truly one of a kind. He had a heart that never stopped giving, a laugh that could fill a room, and a style that was entirely his own—bold, expressive, and unmistakably Keith.
On October 30th, 2022, we lost him to opioid addiction. Keith lived with addiction and mental health challenges for most of his life, but he was never completely defined by them. He was a brother, a father, an uncle, and a son. He was the kind of person who left a mark on everyone he met—someone who cared deeply, loved fiercely, and could strike up a conversation with absolutely anyone. He was thoughtful, generous, kind, and always the most fun person in the room. He adored kids and animals, and they adored him right back.
These are the parts of my brother I hold onto. These are the memories I choose to honour.
For the past four years, my family and I have participated in an annual run to celebrate Keith’s life and create a legacy rooted in hope. Together, we have raised over $20,000 for CAMH, supporting research, treatment, and the fight to end stigma.
This year, on June 21st, 2026, we will be running the Oakville Bronte Harbour Classic 5km in Oakville, Ontario. Our goal is to raise another $10,000 for CAMH— bringing our total to over $30,000. Every dollar raised helps change how our communities understand and respond to addiction and mental illness.
