I'm 14, and about a year ago I started a small mental health project called Wavelength Mental Health, because I noticed teenagers weren't being spoken to the way they actually needed to be. Since then, I've built a free app with mood tracking and grounding tools, started a mental health club at my school, and connected with people doing this work on a much bigger scale than I ever expected to.
This October 10th, for World Mental Health Day, I'm hosting a community seminar in partnership with CAMH to talk openly about youth mental health, the kind of honest, judgment-free conversation I wish existed when I was looking for it myself. I'm fundraising to help support CAMH's work building better mental health care for kids and youth across Ontario, care that doesn't just wait for a crisis to show up, but actually meets people earlier.
I'm not a professional, I'm just a teenager who noticed a gap and decided to try closing a small piece of it. Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward making that care more real for the next young person who needs it.
Thank you so much for being here and for supporting this.
