Why We STEP IT UP

STEP IT UP was born from a personal experience with the devastating impact of suicide. It moved us to do more, to create an opportunity to come together, raise awareness, and support better mental health for Canadians.

Through STEP IT UP, we move with purpose: to reflect, to remember, and to take meaningful steps toward a future where more people can find the support they need.

This year, we’re challenging our community to reach 3,000,000 steps together. Every participant, every day, and every step brings us closer to our collective goal, and helps us take a stand for better mental health.

Make a donation to STEP IT UP and you’ll receive access to our event step-tracking club, where you can follow your progress and take on the challenge alongside the STEP IT UP community.

Participate from anywhere, set your own daily step goal, and challenge yourself to reach it for five days straight. How far you go is up to you, we simply encourage you to set a goal that pushes you and get outside, get moving, and make every step count.
